The Washington County Sheriff’s office has announced plans to renew law enforcement contracts with every city involved last year, making few changes from previous agreements.
“As part of fiscal ‘23, we got the law enforcement contracts with the cities,” Sheriff Jared Schneider said. “Nothing has changed in the contracts except the dollar amounts.”
Schneider said the contracts would now go to their respective city councils for approval before they can be finalized.
Every city saw a slight increase from last year’s price.
- Ainsworth: $24,364 to $28,017
- Brighton: $32,321 to $37,376
- Crawfordsville: $11,028 to $13,635
- Kalona: $195,541 to $224,898
- Riverside: $131,640 to $144,128
- Wellman: $94,675 to $108,991
- West Chester: $8,172 to $9,335
