Washington For Justice plans film screening

Washington For Justice, will host a virtual screening of the documentary '13th.”
The screening will take place via Zoom in two segments: One Saturday at 7 p.m. and the other on Sunday at 3 p.m.
'During each day, we will watch a segment of the documentary followed by group discussion,” according to the news release.
The documentary is by filmmaker Ava DuVernay.
'This film gives a historical perspective of racial injustice in the United States, as well a focus on the mass incarceration epidemic in the United States, which overwhelmingly affects the Black population, Black men in particular,” according to the release.

The movie is available on Netflix, so community members could watch on their own as well.
The screening is taking place through a partnership with Jacqueline Arreola.
