WASHINGTON - Due to the increase COVID-19 positivity rate in Washington County the Washington County Hospital and Clinics heighten visitor restrictions Monday.
'Our first priority at Washington County Hospital and Clinics is the health and wellness of patients and staff,” according to the news release.
Visitors will no longer be allowed into the hospital facility to further decrease potential of exposure of viral illness to patients and health care workers. Exceptions will apply for hospitalized patients when deemed necessary by a provider during end-of-life situations.
The WCHC clinics, emergency department and outpatient services will enforce strict visitor restrictions, limiting patients to only one caregiver or support person when necessary.
It is advised that patients attend appointments without a support person. Only children scheduled to see a clinic provider will be allowed into the clinic facilities, no siblings of any age will be permitted. Patients and support person are required to be masked before entering the facility.
Support people with any symptoms will not be allowed entry.
Due to the necessity to reinstate visitor restrictions, Pillars Gift Shop will be closed.
'We apologize for the inconvenience to our patients and visitors, but these restrictions are necessary to protect and provide a safe environment for patients and staff,” according to the news release. 'The restrictions will remain in effect until further notice.”
