Washington library construction update

Children’s and junior fiction collections opened for patron use at noon on Thursday at the Washington Public Library. Computer access, copying and printing all resumed Thursday as well.
New adult books will be located in boxes in the vestibule of the library for circulation for the next two days, but adult fiction and non-fiction regular and large print collections are not open at this time. They are available for holds placed on the library catalog via the website www.washington.lib.ia.us or by phone at 319-653-2726.
The third floor and elevator will be closed through Friday. The library does not plan to move shelves until it has the machinery to do so July 6-13, during which time there may be more closures.
