WASHINGTON - The Washington Public Library will be open to the public starting March 1.
After reviewing analytics and research of library trends, Library Director Bryna Walker said the library board approved a plan to unlock the doors.
'We are very excited to be at a point of a less controlled phase of reopening,” she said.
The front door to the library will be unlocked for 30-minute book browsing, copying, printing and faxing from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Fridays.
Please check in at the front desk when you arrive. On Saturdays, the library door will be locked, but appointments can be made for express browsing or curbside.
Contactless curbside book service will continue to be offered every hour. Please call 319-653-2726 to schedule a curbside appointment.
The library will still be open 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
