Washington Library to host sweater upcycling workshop

Guests at the Washington Public Library can learn to upcycle sweaters into hats at a workshop planned for Feb. 5 at 10:30 a.m.
Attendees are encouraged to bring their own sweater to the event, according to an open invitation.
“Bring a felted wool sweater to create a fun winter hat, we will have a few available if you cannot find one,” the invitation said. “Find a sweater with a 65% or higher wool content for best results. Wash your sweater in hot water so that it shrinks into a tight, dense fabric.”
