On Saturday, March 26 at 10:30, the Washington Public Library will host a “tiny art show.”
Participant will get the chance to create their own “mini masterpiece” on a 3X3 canvass. Art supplies and mini canvases will be provided, but individuals are more than welcome to bring any supplies they would like from home to add to their art.
The art pieces created will be on display in the library during the month of April. Registration is required for the event. People that would like to register can either call the library or stop in at the front office.
Following the painting portion of the event, the tiny art show will take place event organizer and school-age Librarian Jenisa Harris said.
“We’ll have our own little tiny art show after the event where people can enjoy what people created,” Harris said. “I’m going to have paint and art supplies that they can really do whatever they want.”
The idea came up after other library’s put together a similar event during the pandemic and Harris thought it would be a great way to bring people together.
“Some other library’s had done it during the pandemic as more make and take,” Harris said. “I thought it was such a clever idea. So I thought it was something our patrons would enjoy and I love a good family program where all ages and generations can come together. It’s fun to be crafty.”
