Washington officials respond to three separate vehicle accidents Monday

WASHINGTON - Three traffic accidents were reported in the City of Washington on the morning of Monday, Dec. 23.
According to the Washington County Sheriff's Office call for service log, at approximately 7:49 a.m., caller reported witnessing a single vehicle rollover south of G36 on Spruce Avenue. At the time of the call, a male subject, later identified as Dennis Greiner, of Keota, was reported to be conscious but trapped inside upturned vehicle.
Greiner was transported to the University of Iowa Hospital by Washington County Ambulance and Moores responded to tow the vehicle. Also responding to the scene were Ainsworth Fire, Ainsworth QRS, Washington County Rescue and Washington Fire.
A few minutes later at 7:54 a.m., a two vehicle accident was reported in the 1100 block of Fifth Street. According to the Washington Police Department call for service log, Kayley Clark, of Washington and Esther Carter of Crawfordsville were the drivers. One was transported to the Washington County Hospital via Washington County Ambulance.
Moores responded to tow both vehicles. Assisting the Washington Police Department at the scene were Washington County Rescue and Washington Fire.
The Washington County Sheriff's office was called out for another accident at approximately 8:16 a.m. A caller, Heather Shine, reported she hit Brown's Bridge in her Chevy Malibu. The vehicle was smoking and still on the bridge in the traveled portion, but the caller reported being out of the vehicle and uninjured.
Assisting the Washington County Sheriff's office at the scene were Riverside Fire and Earls Towing.
