Washington residents no longer required to purchase yard waste bags

WASHINGTON - The City of Washington no longer will be selling yard waste bags with the City logo and no additional sticker will be required. No yard waste bags are available at City Hall. Three local stores - Fareway, Hy-Vee and Ace-n-more are stocking their own brand of yard waste bags. Citizens can purchase these bags and City crews will pick the bags up curbside on the usual routes (Tuesday or Thursday).
