WASHINGTON - The Washington Community School District will continue to require masks at school events.
Superintendent Willie Stone said despite the decision by Gov. Kim Reynolds to lift restrictions requiring masks, the Washington district will not change its policy until quarantine guidelines are changed.
'If everyone is wearing a mask, no one will be required to quarantine,” he said.
He said the school is doing a good job with preventing high COVID-19 numbers, and he sees no reason change it.
'Our whole purpose and goal for that is to make sure we have kids in school,” Stone said.
For school events, Stone said they will maintain the current regulations. Each participant gets two tickets. The two tickets will get the participant's household and grandparents into the event. Masks are required.
