WASHINGTON — At Tuesday’s regular meeting, the Washington County Board of Supervisors passed an unanimous motion to acknowledge a personal change request, a termination of employment, for Patrick Farrell, a parts and service technician.
Due to the absence of Sheriff Jared Schneider, planned discussion of Sheriff Office fiscal year 2027 Law Contracts were tabled for next week. The talks were to be about the county law enforcement contracts between the county municipalities and the sheriff’s office.
The municipalities include West Chester, Ainsworth, Riverside, Crawfordsville, Kalona, Brighton, and Wellman.
To end the meeting board member Bob Yoder wanted to highlight and offer gratitude to the county ambulance system along with the first responders in Riverside.
An accident involving a family member prompted Yoder to make a 911 call over the weekend and he was able to get the help they needed in an efficient manner.
“They did an admirable job,” Yoder said about the first responders in Riverside. “Just reinforces my thoughts, I've always felt this, it's an extremely important service that we give to our county residents.”
