WASHINGTON - The Washington County Board of Supervisors advanced the names of two of their members to become members of the Washington County Riverboat Foundation Board when the supervisors met in regular session Tuesday, Aug. 6, at the Washington County Courthouse.
Patty Koller, Washington County Riverboat Foundation Executive Assistant, told the supervisors that a new law requires the foundation's board to include a member of the Board of Supervisors. The law states that the supervisors forward the name or names of supervisors interested in joining the foundation board. The foundation board then selects the board member representing the supervisors. The supervisors unanimously forwarded the names of Supervisors Richard Young and Bob Yoder to the foundation board.
In other business, Washington County Sheriff Jared Schneider requested three personnel changes in his department which were approved by the supervisors. Justin Adams will join the department as a new deputy Sheriff Aug. 15. Mike Yoder will change jobs from jailer to shift supervisor and
Dennis Boecker will change jobs from shift supervisor to jailer.
Deputy Sheriff Bill Fiordelise presented the latest quarterly report from the Sheriff's department.
