Washington to start flushing hydrants Monday

WASHINGTON — The city of Washington Maintenance & Construction Dept. will begin fire hydrant flushing on Monday, Sept. 19.
Maintenance & Construction Supervisor J.J. Bell said that he anticipates the flushing process to last two weeks. During the flushing process, residences may experience loss of water pressure, discoloration and rust.
