Washington will pick up tree limbs curbside

On Saturday Dec. 14, 2024 the City of Washington was impacted with an ice storm. As a result, residents have been left with many tree limbs littering their yards. To assist with the cleanup process, the City of Washington is providing the following options to dispose of tree debris.
- The yard waste site at the Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 1065 W. Buchanan Street is open from 7am-4pm Monday through Friday.
- Public Works crews will conduct a one-time curbside yard waste pickup beginning on Wednesday Dec. 18 at 7 a.m. The following guidelines will apply.
Only tree limbs will be picked up (no leaves, garbage, or household debris)
Tree limbs should be placed on the curb no later than Wednesday Dec. 18 at 7 a.m.
Crews will begin in the Northwest quadrant of the city on Wednesday Dec. 18 and will work in a counterclockwise direction, ending in the Northeast quadrant. Crews will only conduct this complimentary service once. Please make sure all tree debris is on your curb by Wednesday Dec. 18 at 7 a.m.
Tree debris should not be in the street or blocking traffic
