WASHINGTON — Police say they’re charging 37-year-old Washington Woman Jamie Hunt with first degree arson after an incident reported Sept. 23.
“The Police Department received a report that Hunt had broken a window and thrown gasoline and a lighter into an apartment at 2215 250th Street, that she knew was occupied by workers in the process of cleaning the apartment,” a news release from the Washington Police Department said. “There was no significant damage or injury reported. Hunt fled the area, but later spoke to officers by telephone and made some admissions related to the incident.”
Hunt was arrested Sept. 30 and is held at the Washington County Jail on a $25,000 cash only bond. If convicted, the charge — a Class B felony — could be punishable by up to 25 years in prison according to the department.
Court documents with further information were not immediately available.
