Washington Yard Waste Center changing hours

The City of Washington's Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) and Yard Waste Center (YWC) located at 1065 W. Buchanan Street will no longer be open from 7-10 a.m. on Saturday mornings. They will resume normal operating hours for 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Friday for Washington residents to drop off yard waste and tree trimmings. The YWC does not accept lumber or building materials of any type. They request the use of the Highway 1 south entrance, as the South Avenue E entrance remains closed at this time.
