Water main break at 4th and Madison in Fairfield

Due to a major water main break, the water department has shut down the intersection at South 4th Street & Madison Avenue in Fairfield effective Thursday morning. Traffic is advised to find an alternate route and use extreme caution if navigating through this particular area.
The neighborhood will experience low water pressure, discolored water, and at time no water service at all. This is a large line, and city crews are working as quickly as possible to fix it.
