Water main break shuts down South Ninth in Fairfield

Due to a water main break Tuesday morning in the city of Fairfield, the water department has shut down South Ninth Street from Jefferson Avenue to Washington Avenue.
Traffic is advised to find an alternate route and use caution if navigating through this particular area.
The neighborhood and the Roosevelt Recreation Center will experience low water pressure, discolored water, and at times no water service at all.
'Our crews are working diligently to fix the leak as soon as possible,” stated a press release from City Hall. 'Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this process.”
