WAYLAND ? The Wayland City Council was met with only two items on their agenda Wednesday night.
The first item of the night was approving either the repair or purchase of a new chop saw. Mayor Bradley Roth said the amount to rebuild the old chop saw, which would be roughly $600, compounded with how much the city has already spent on repairs for the machine, it just made more sense to purchase new.
The council approved the purchase of a new chop saw for the amount of $1,099.99.
The second and final item on the agenda included a request for the city to be a fiscal sponsor on the Wayland Housing EHCCF (Enhance Henry County Community Foundation) Grant Application. Funds from the grant would be used to re-roof and install gutters with guards at Way-Mar. The council readily agreed and approved the request.
Trick or Treating for the City of Wayland will be on Monday, Oct. 31, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
The next regular meeting will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2016, at 7:30 p.m., at City Hall.
