Wayland has fun for everyone July 4th

WAYLAND ? The city of Wayland has made plans to celebrate the Fourth of July in a big way with events spanning the entire day.

Following is a list of events with times and locations;

6:30 ? 9:30 a.m. ? Lions Club breakfast at the Community Center

7:30 a.m. ? Freedom Fun Run/Walk, starting at Central Park

10:30 a.m. ? Parade on Main Street (?Hats off to America? theme)

After parade ? Farmers and Merchants 75th anniversary celebration at the Community Center

12:30 p.m. ? Firefighter water fights, tractors display, museum opens

1:30 p.m. ? Tractor games

4:30 ? 7 p.m. ? Parkview benefit supper, 102 North Jackson Street

7:30 ? 8:30 p.m. ? Yankee Doodle family fun dance at the WACO football field

Dusk ? Fireworks show at WACO football field

There will also be a city-wide scavenger hunt throughout the day.
