Wayland man dies in motorcycle mishap
A Wayland man died of injuries received in an accident on Sunday, Aug. 7, involving three motorcycles on U.S. Highway 215 at the 45-mile marker entrance ramp.
Kenneth Koch, 63, of Wayland, died in the accident.
According to the Iowa State Patrol accident report, Koch was northbound on the entrance ramp to U.S. Highway 218 when he ran into the back of two motorcycles.

A Wayland man died of injuries received in an accident on Sunday, Aug. 7, involving three motorcycles on U.S. Highway 215 at the 45-mile marker entrance ramp.
Kenneth Koch, 63, of Wayland, died in the accident.
According to the Iowa State Patrol accident report, Koch was northbound on the entrance ramp to U.S. Highway 218 when he ran into the back of two motorcycles.
The motorcycles were operated by Lori Leffler, 41, and Dwayne Leffler, 45, respectively, both of Washington.
After striking the Lefflers? motorcycles, Koch?s motorcycle ran off the road. L. Leffler?s motorcycle came to rest on the roadway and D. Leffler?s motorcycle stayed upright.
Koch was taken to the Henry County Health Center by the Henry County Ambulance.
