WAYLAND ? The Wayland City Council isn?t cutting corners when it comes to revising their dog ordinance.
At Wednesday night?s council meeting, it was decided to continue to gather and review information regarding non-breed specific animal ordinances before making any decisions about their own.
?We want the best.? said Wayland Mayor Bradley Roth.
The council was given packets of information regarding other cities animal ordinances to help them make an informed decision.
The council also chose Egli Landscaping to do the landscaping around City Hall.
Councilwoman Melinda Ullery voiced her support, ?I guess my thoughts are maybe we should have Egli do it this time. He is local and he employs people from around here. I guess I would say we should give him a chance.?
Several building permits were also approved at the meeting. They included Dwight Manning, Jr.; M-E Farms; Curt and Lori Wagler and Parkview homes.
In other business the council also:
Discussed the Water Improvement Project.
Received Mike Roth?s petition for voluntary annexation of real estate.
Discussed the purchase of a MoJack lawn mower lift purchase
The next council meeting will be held at City Hall on Oct. 17, at 7:30 p.m.
