What is a PET Scan?
A Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scan is an advanced imaging technique that enables health care providers to observe metabolic processes within the body. It is particularly effective for detecting cancer, evaluating brain disorders, and monitoring heart conditions. PET scans provide highly detailed images that enhance the accuracy of diagnosis and the effectiveness of treatment planning for various medical conditions.
