WCHC opens ‘The Hub’

WASHINGTON — Hospital staff and Chamber ambassadors opened a new off-site operations center in Washington on Thursday, celebrating the occasion with a ribbon cutting.

The new location, named WCHC North or “The Hub” for short, will house WCHC’s Patient Financial Services, Health Information Management (HIM), and Rural Health Clinic Central Scheduling employees. The building went into use July 15, 2023.

A Chamber of Commerce newsletter said WCHC staff were “running into space constraints to add additional clinical services and providers to their roster,” and that “Moving these services allows them to add space for patients, which will allow WCHC to continue to grow.”

This newly built and furnished office is located on East Second Street in downtown Washington where hospital staff said the business had signed a five-year lease. Hospital representatives said they were “excited and lucky that WCHC and their valuable staff will be in the central part of our community.”
