WCHC welcomes new neurology provider

Washington County Hospital and Clinics (WCHC) is pleased to announce Julie Kay Shaw, DNP, as its new neurology provider. Shaw began seeing patients Dec. 2 at the Ken and Rosemary Hanson Specialty Clinic in Washington.
Shaw brings extensive experience in neurology, palliative care, and advanced nursing practice. She specializes in conditions such as dementia, Parkinson’s disease, sleep disorders, and migraines. She has worked in various clinical settings, including the Physicians’ Clinic of Iowa, and has a strong academic background as Director of Graduate Nursing Programs at Mount Mercy University.

Julie Shaw will offer comprehensive evaluations and personalized treatment plans for neurological conditions. As part of a team restructuring, Stephanie Sparks, ARNP, a longtime neurology provider at WCHC, will transition to Cardiology, continuing her commitment to high-quality care.
