The Fairfield Beautification Commission met Thursday and decided it wanted to see a few more weeds leave Fairfield ?the old fashioned way? ? uprooted by hand. As a finale to the commission?s Adopt-A-Spot 2013 clean up event, the commission is asking for volunteers to help clean up in the area surrounding downtown at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Those who can elp should bring their gloves, garbage bags and any tools they might like to use and meet at the Central Park Bandstand.
