WASHINGTON
The city of Washington has set up a real Christmas tree drop off area on the southeast corner of Central Park through Jan. 10, according to the city's website.
Residents also may put their trees on the street corners opposite of fire hydrants, or they can haul them out to the Waste Water Treatment Plant brush pile site. The pickups will take place through Jan. 10.
No artificial trees or ornaments.
MT. PLEASANT
Mt. Pleasant's Public Works Department will pick up Christmas trees during the second week of January, according to the cvity's website. While stickers aren't required for pickup, trees need to be on the curb by the time garbage is collected. The city asks that those disposing of trees in this manner check to make sure all lights and ornaments have been removed.
FAIRFIELD
Fairfield's Christmas tree pickup will begin at 7 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 11. This service is provided for structures of one to three residential units; not multi-family dwellings of four or more.
This is for Christmas trees only, which must be placed curbside prior to 7 a.m. Crews will not return once they have passed by. Residents are asked to remove all decorations, lights, and plastic bags to guarantee their tree will be picked up. There is no fee for this service.
