Mar. 13, 2023 12:14 pm
WASHINGTON — All area high school students and their parents are invited to learn more about their college options at the Washington High School College Fair Thursday, March 30, in the Washington High School Gymnasium from 1:15 to 2:45 p.m. The event will be hosted by the Iowa Association for College Admission Counseling (Iowa ACAC) and the Counseling Department at Washington High School.
Representatives from approximately 45 colleges, universities and military branches will be on-hand to visit with high school students and their parents. Families have an opportunity to discuss admission requirements, housing, financial aid, scholarships, internships and specific majors with the college representatives.
"It's important for students to attend the college fair to gather information from colleges they are considering attending, and be able to talk with a college rep face-to-face to ask questions and potentially schedule a college visit,“ said Guidance Counselor Belinda Robinson.
Students from surrounding high schools have been invited to attend. Anyone who is interested in attending a postsecondary institution is invited to take advantage of this opportunity.
The program is free and open to the public. For more information, please contact the counselor’s office at (319) 653-4245.
