William Dean ?Bill? Warth, 76, of New London, died on Saturday, April 22, 2017, in Mesa, Ariz.
The family will greet friends from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., on Monday, May 1, 2017, at Elliott Chapel, in New London. A graveside service will follow the visitation at Burge Cemetery, in New London.
A memorial has been established for New London Fire and Rescue.

William Dean ?Bill? Warth, 76, of New London, died on Saturday, April 22, 2017, in Mesa, Ariz.

Warth was born on Dec. 19, 1940, at the New London family home, the son of Arthur S. and Edna G. Dresser Warth. He was a 1959 graduate of New London High School and earned his BA from Iowa Wesleyan College in 1963. On June 24, 1962, he married Dayle Nicole Linder at the New London United Methodist Church.
He worked for Mary Dayle Development Company, Linder Company, taught four years at Harmony Schools and retired in 1974 after 30 years as assistant manager of A.Y. McDonald Supply Company, in Burlington.
He was of the Methodist faith.
He enjoyed motorcycles, sports, the Dallas Cowboys, the Iowa Hawkeyes, and collecting knives and guns.
Warth is survived by his wife; two sons, Troy William (Michelle) Warth, of St. James, Mo., and Dale Dustin (Terri) Warth, of Sarasota, Fla.; three foster sons, Trieu Le, Hoat Nguyen and Phi Nguyen; several grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, James A. (Elaine) Warth, of Iowa City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his sister, Marlys R. Abrisz.
