Wilma M. Mitchell, 94, of Washington and formerly of Crawfordsville, died on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, at the United Presbyterian Home.
A funeral service for Mitchell will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at 11:30 a.m., at the Beatty Funeral Home, in Washington, with Rev. Jason Collier officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, in Washington. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 to ...

Wilma M. Mitchell, 94, of Washington and formerly of Crawfordsville, died on Wednesday, Sept. 28, 2016, at the United Presbyterian Home.
A funeral service for Mitchell will be held on Saturday, Oct. 1, 2016, at 11:30 a.m., at the Beatty Funeral Home, in Washington, with Rev. Jason Collier officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery, in Washington. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10 to 11:30 a.m., on Saturday.
A memorial fund has been established for Boy Scout Pack 242 and the United Presbyterian Home.
Mitchell was born on July 7, 1922, in rural Crawfordsville, the daughter of John and Lula (Sayre) Hauenstein. She graduated from Crawfordsville High School. On Sept. 28, 1943, she was united in marriage to Dale Mitchell, in Washington.
Mitchell is survived by two children, Mike (Susan) Mitchell, of Oskaloosa; Linda Swift, of San Clemente, Calif.; and four grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three sisters, Florence Kelly, Margaret Eisele, Ruth Stevens; and one brother, Bud Hauenstein.
