Wine About the Moon a success for Henry County Conservation
May. 2, 2021 3:43 pm
OK, clouds covered the moon for Henry County Conservation’s Wine About The Moon event last week. That did not seem to matter. About 40 people attended and had a great time.
Maybe it was the wine.
Cedar Valley Winery representatives led by George Mueller talked about their products on the decks of the cabins, Imogene and George, next to the Oakland Mills Nature Center, offering samples for those who attended.
The group took a hike and learned about the moon phases and the correlation not only to wine tasting but also to the bottling process according to the biodynamic calendar, naturalist Cari Nicely said.
“We had a fabulous turnout,” Nicely said. “It was so much fun; I think everyone had a great time.”
