The Winfield Public Library will be offering story hour starting Friday Nov. 4, from 12:30 to 1:15 p.m. All area three- and four-year-olds are welcome to attend. For more information, call Library Director Laurie Hockenberry at 257-3247.
Something new will soon be available in the form of a public suggestion box at the library. The public is encouraged to submit their ideas and suggestions for materials, services or other comments to better help the librarian, her staff and the library board meet the needs of the community.
The box will be opened at the library board?s regular meetings, where suggestions and ideas will be read and discussed as to the feasibility of including them in the present or future services offered at the library. The library hopes that this will help serve as a way to better meet the needs of its patrons.
Patrons can also look for a list of new materials which will be posted at the library periodically.
If you are looking for a particular new book, a special magazine or new movie and you can?t find it on the list, please ask the librarian or one of the library staff for help. Perhaps it can be ordered and added to the library?s resources or can be borrowed from another library.
