Winfield residents face drug charges
Two Winfield residents were arrested on drug charges Sept. 24 following a traffic stop at the intersection of Iowa Highway 78 and Nashua Avenue.
Following the stop, Justin Stafford, 35, and Jennifer Stafford, 32, were arrested and charged with a pair of felonies.

Two Winfield residents were arrested on drug charges Sept. 24 following a traffic stop at the intersection of Iowa Highway 78 and Nashua Avenue.
Following the stop, Justin Stafford, 35, and Jennifer Stafford, 32, were arrested and charged with a pair of felonies.
According to the Henry County Sheriff?s Office, they and the Winfield Police Department received a report of a vehicle driving erratically, and the vehicle was located at the aforementioned intersection.
Upon further investigation, chemical smells were coming from the vehicle. Officers found methamphetamine lab materials in the vehicle.
Each of the Staffords were charged with conspiracy to manufacture methamphetamine, a Class B felony, and possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, a Class D felony. Both subjects are being held in the Henry County Jail.
A criminal charge is merely an accusation and the defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
