The community is invited to share in the joy of Christmas at this WAGG (Winfield Area Grateful Gathering) event on Saturday, Dec. 7 at 4 p.m. at the Winfield Presbyterian Church with Winfield’s Selah musical group.
Favorite selections have been chosen from the past 12 years of Christmas concerts. The audience will be asked to participate by also choosing their favorite Christmas carols to include in the program. A reading of the Christmas Story from Luke will be included.
Winfield’s Selah, a women’s sextet, has been sharing inspirational music and testimonies for over 40 years, having begun in 1982. The current members, representing area churches and communities are: First Sopranos, Mandi Mullin and Deb Lowe; Second Sopranos, Barb Phelps and Linda Haight (the two original members); and Altos, Kim Davis and Sara Schurr. The accompanist is Mary Kilpatrick.
A free will offering will be received to fund future WAGG events. Plan to stay following the concert for a time of fellowship and refreshments.
