Winter weather leads to accidents
Blowing snow is reportedly the cause of a two-vehicle collision during the evening of Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015.
The Henry County Sheriff?s Office was dispatched around 7:23 p.m. to the intersection of Sunset Circle and 235 Street for a reported head-on collision.

Blowing snow is reportedly the cause of a two-vehicle collision during the evening of Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2015.
The Henry County Sheriff?s Office was dispatched around 7:23 p.m. to the intersection of Sunset Circle and 235 Street for a reported head-on collision.
Police documents state James Cowen, 70, of Mt. Pleasant, was driving westbound as Todd Baldridge, 45, of Mt. Pleasant, was driving east. Due to blowing snow, the vehicles collided, side-swiping each other.
Both vehicles could be driven from the scene. The combined damage was estimated at $7,000.
Icy road conditions were to blame for a two-vehicle collision near the intersection of East Washington Street and South Cherry Street at 5:41 a.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2015.
According to police reports, Jason Martin, who was driving a 1990 Ford Ranger, was attempting to make a right turn onto South Cherry Street when he slid and struck a 2011 Kia Sorento, driven by Steven Hirst, in the front driver?s side.
Neither driver was injured in the collision and both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene. The accident was deemed to be caused by the icy roads. The damage was estimated at $1,500.
