Woman who dragged Washington officer arrested in Texas

WASHINGTON - Additional charges have been filed against woman who reportedly dragged a Washington police officer with her vehicle in August.
On Wednesday, the Washington County Sheriff's Office alerted Bexar County Jail in Texas of a warrant for Mary Bella Brooks of Des Moines, according to the Washington County Communications Center.
The charges include:
' Controlled substance violation.
' Failure to affix drug stamp.
' Theft of the second degree.
' Possession of controlled substance.
' Unlawful possession of prescription drug.
Brooks was arrested in October by the Texas State Patrol for a Washington County warrant for felony charges of assault on a police officer, use of a weapon, assault while participating in a felony, interfering with official acts using a dangerous weapon, theft in the second degree, interfering with official acts inflicting bodily injury and leaving the scene of an accident.
The charges stemmed from an incident in August where Brooks drove away from a traffic stop, dragging an officer with the vehicle.
She was initially held at the Bexar County Jail with a $50,000 cash bond. The additional charges added a $37,000 cash bond.
In June, Brooks had violated her parole by failing to call her parole officer on April 27, according to the Department of Corrections. Parole Officer Jacinda Smith attempted to contact Brooks through email and various phone number unsuccessfully. As of June 24, the officer had not heard from Brooks.
