Women defeat Culver-Stockton, men lose second game to Wildcats
CANTON, Mo. ? The IWC women?s basketball team bounced back from an early season loss to Culver-Stockton to get a big win on Thursday night against the Wildcats. The Tigers won 71-60, splitting the season series at one game each.
On the men?s side, however, the Wildcats defeated the Tigers again, taking the season series two games to none as the Tigers fell by a score of 93-73.

CANTON, Mo. ? The IWC women?s basketball team bounced back from an early season loss to Culver-Stockton to get a big win on Thursday night against the Wildcats. The Tigers won 71-60, splitting the season series at one game each.
On the men?s side, however, the Wildcats defeated the Tigers again, taking the season series two games to none as the Tigers fell by a score of 93-73.
Despite 34 turnovers, the Tigers got the win with a great team game as eight Tigers? scored, led once again by Ashley Kruse, who matched her season-high she set in the previous game with 23 points again on Thursday night.
Jana Meister and Stephanie Russak also scored in double figures for the Tigers. Meister had 13 points and Russak added 11.
In the men?s game, three Tigers scored in double figures, led by Kyle Warner who had 19 points. Jon Umoren and Matt Schackow each added 12 points.
The Tigers fall to 7-9 on the year and now travel south over Christmas break for two games in Florida.
The Tiger women are now 2-10 on the season and return to action on Friday, Dec. 14, when they travel to Greenville College in Greenville, Ill. Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
