Women golfers end fall season

PEOSTA ? Kayla Bishop shot the best round for a member of the Iowa Wesleyan College women?s golf team this fall as the Tigers wrapped up the fall season Sunday at the Clarke University Fall Invitational at Thunder Hills Country Club.
Bishop shot a round of 89, her lowest career round at IWC and the best round by any member of the team this fall. She led the Tigers to a team score of 408 and a sixth-place finish in the team standings on the par-71 course.
Bishop tied for fourth individually, shooting a 43 on the front nine and scoring 46 on the back nine. She finished two shots off a tie for first place, as Mt. Mercy?s Bailee and Madison Goodfellow tied for medalist honors, with Goodfellow winning the tiebreaker.
After Bishop it was Michelle Lox (senior ? Danville) finishing with a round of 104 to tie for 24th individually. Jessica Van Dorin was 28th was 28th with a score of 107 and Alyssa McClain was one spot behind with a round of 108.
Mt. Mercy won the team title with a team score of 364, finishing nine shots ahead of second place Wisconsin-Platteville.
The IWC women?s golf team has concluded its fall season and will resume play in the spring championship season.
