Work begins on East Adams
WASHINGTON — The city of Washington’s East Adams reconstruction project began despite the sweltering heat Tuesday morning. The construction will run from South Ninth Avenue East to South 15th Avenue.
The project was approved by the city council in March amid some resident complaints about assessment costs.
With a price tag at $1,463,694, the work includes installation of a water main, a new stormwater sewer main and drainage structures, and the installation of sidewalk along the road.
