Ever wonder what it?s like to be a farmer today?
You will be able to gain more information on the topic during the America?s Farmers Mobile Experience?s visit on Aug. 31-Sept. 3 to this year?s Midwest Old Threshers Reunion.
The experience is a traveling 53-foot trailer that expands into 1,000 square feet of exhibit space. Visitors will journey through three different areas offering interactive tools and displays to better understand the life of an American farmer.
Learn how as farmland dwindles, farmers face the challenge of providing enough food and clothing to sustain a population that has recently breached seven billion people. Take a look into the life of an American farm family and learn more about the vital role they play in the world of agriculture today.
The exhibit includes:
? An interactive globe allowing visitors to see population growth and how many people one acre of farmland will need to feed to meet the demand of the growing population;
? A 180-degree theater immersing visitors in a video experience that spotlights an American farm family and what they are currently doing to meet the world demand;
? Personal guides educating guests about the tools and technologies that help farmers meet current food, fuel and clothing challenges.
The exhibit on the Threshers? grounds will be open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Aug. 31-Sept. 2, and from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Sept. 3.
The mobile experience, sponsored by Monsanto, is touring the United States and stopping at a variety of urban and rural events to give people the opportunity to learn more about every aspect of the farmer?s life, from production to the challenges they face.
More information on the mobile experience may also be found at www.AmerciasFarmers.com.
