Yarmouth to hold fun fest

The Yarmouth Community Fun Fest will be held on Saturday, Aug. 10.

There is free admission to all of the activities, beginning with a parade at 10 a.m. (line up at 9:30 a.m.).

All day long there will be antique car and tractor displays on Main Street, as well as pictures of Yarmouth on display at the fire station. There will also be a bounce house for kids, located on Main Street.

Other scheduled events include:

10 a.m. trap shoot at the Yarmouth Gun Club (located 2.5 miles south of Yarmouth)

11 a.m. 50 bird derby at the Yarmouth Gun Club

1 to 4 p.m.: Garden tractor pull (registration is noon to 1 p.m.)

1:30 to 2:30 p.m. free kids carnival

3:00 p.m. pedal pull for ages four to 11 years old

6 to 8:15 p.m. blue grass music by Hwy 99 on the east end of Main Street

A fireworks display will go off at dusk, on the east end of town. After the fireworks are done, there will be karaoke at the cafe on Main Street.
