Young rodeo riders
Jul. 23, 2021 8:56 am
Kids had an opportunity to show their rodeo moves at the Washington County Fair’s mutton bustin’ event Thursday evening.
Children rode on the backs of sheep to see how long they could hang on.
Many came wearing cowboy boots and cowboy hats, although the cowboy hats had to be put aside. Everybody riding wore a helmet when they rode. Others wore sandals or flip-flops.
The riders climbed on the sheep in a rodeo-like chute. When the gate opened, the sheep would take off running with the kids hanging on for dear life.
