WASHINGTON — The Youth Service Board (YSB) is proud to announce the outstanding results of its recent food drive, which collected an impressive 260 pounds of food to benefit HACAP. Thanks to the collective efforts of local schools and community members, this initiative will help provide much-needed support to families in our area.
Washington Community Schools contributed an incredible 166 pounds of food, while Mid-Prairie Schools added another 94 pounds to the total. These donations will make a tangible difference in addressing food insecurity in our community.
“We are so grateful for the generosity and commitment shown by our schools and supporters,” said Carys Miller, a representative of the Youth Service Board. “This food drive not only demonstrates the power of working together but also shows how even small actions can have a big impact.”
The Youth Service Board extends sincere thanks to everyone who participated, from students and staff to families and community members who made this achievement possible.
The donations have been delivered to HACAP, where they will be distributed to individuals and families in need. YSB is committed to continuing its mission of fostering service-minded youth leadership and looks forward to organizing more initiatives to support our community.
