Aaron D. Swailes, 28, of Riverside, passed away on Monday, November 30, 2020, at his home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, 2020, at the Salem Cemetery. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, masks are required. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at the funeral home for his children. Aaron David Swailes was born on December 6, 1991, in Washington, Iowa, the son of David Richard and Sara Jane (Gerdes) Swailes. He was a 2010 graduate of Highland High School and then graduated from Iowa State University, serving as the Department Chair in Industrial Engineering and named Outstanding Senior by the College of Engineering. On October 10, 2015, Aaron was united in marriage to Jacobine Aden in Indianola. Following graduation, Aaron worked at Allsteel as an engineer and was a representative for Goats on the Go. Later he enjoyed being a scale technician for RMH Systems and on the side, owned and operated Simpler Solutions. He enjoyed hunting, trapping, driving military trucks, snowboarding, playing euchre, kayaking, camping and playing Frisbee Golf.

Aaron will be deeply missed by his parents, David and Sara Swailes; wife, Jackie Swailes; children, Tiberias and Yvonne; three sisters, Emily Swailes, Janelle Swailes and Heidi (Dan) Bohall; nephew, Trey; and niece, Maybri.

Aaron was preceded in death by his grandparents.
