Ada N. Joy

Ada N. Joy, 99, of Manchester, formerly of Waterloo, died Sunday, Dec. 28, 2008 at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester of natural causes.

She was born May 2, 1909, in Coleport, the daughter of Thomas William "Bill" and Mathilda S. Baldosier Carpenter. She married Cecil Allen Joy on April 10, 1926 in Mt. Pleasant; he preceded her in death on July 30, 1983.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 2, 2009, at the Kearns, Huisman - Schumacher Chapel on Kimball, with burial in the Garden of Memories Cemetery. Visitation will be held one hour before the service at the funeral home.

Memorials may be directed to the Manchester United Methodist Church (413 E. Butler St.).
