Ada Ruth Wyse, 93, died Feb. 24
Funeral services were held today at the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church. Burial was in the Sugar Creek Mennonite Cemetery.
A memorial fund has been established in her name to the Parkview Home. Beatty Funeral Home in Wayland handled the arrangements.
Mrs. Wyse was born July 24, 1906, in Wayland, to Menno and Mary (Oswald) Freyenberger. She married Ivan Wyse Oct. 11, 1928, in Wayland.
Mrs. Wyse was a homemaker and a telephone operator. She was also a clerk in Wyse Sundries Store in Wayland, which she owned with her husband.
Mrs. Wyse was a member of the Sugar Creek Mennonite Church. She enjoyed traveling with her husband.
Mrs. Wyse is survived by two daughters, Miriam Gowey and husband Joseph of Wayland and Verena Jacobs and husband Keith of Solon; two sisters, Alta Cunningham of Salida, Colo., and Lulu Roth of Wayland; six grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ivan, in May 1979; two brothers, Ezra and Edwin; and one great-grandchild.
