                                    Ada V. Stutzman
Ada V. Stutzman, 91, of Kalona, died Thursday, Sept. 8, 2016, at the Pleasantview Home in Kalona, where she had lived since 2003.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Sept. 12, in Fairview Mennonite Church in rural Kalona with the Rev. Conrad Hertzler, The Rev. Perry Miller, and Chaplain John King officiating. Burial will follow at the North Gingerich Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, Sept. 11 from 2 to 6 p.m. in the Peterseim Funeral Home in Kalona. A memorial fund has been established for the Fairview Church and the Pleasantview Home.
Stutzman was born May 5, 1925, in rural Johnson County, the daughter of Ervin J. and Lydia (Bontrager) Stutzman. She attended East Lincoln School and was a member of the Fairview Church. She worked as a housekeeper and as a nanny for newborn babies for many years. She enjoyed embroidery and flower gardening.
Surviving are her siblings, Leroy (Norma) Stutzman of Washington, Ervin Stutzman of Texas, Stanley (Shirley) Stutzman of Frytown, Barbara Bender of Kalona, Alta Widmer of Iowa City, and Ann Raber of Sarasota, Florida; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Mary Bontrager and an infant sister; and four brothers, Henry, John, Omar, and Levi Stutzman.
