Adrian B. Brinck October 31, 1913 - July 3, 2003

      Adrian B. Brinck, 89, of West Point, died on Thursday morning, July 3, 2003, at West Point Care Center in West Point.

      The memorial service will be at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 8 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in West Point, with the Rev. Apo T. Mpanda officiating. The body has been cremated. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery with full military rites. Visitation will begin after 2:30 p.m. today at Link Funeral Home in West Point. A rosary will be recited at 3 p.m. and a Christian vigil service will be recited at 7 p.m. Family will be present from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. A memorial has been established to Marquette Schools Inc.

      Survivors include his wife; four sons, Michael and his wife Marla Brinck of Annapolis, Md., Steve and his wife Laura Brinck of West Point, John Brinck of West Point, and Jim and his wife Rhonda Brinck of Fort Madison; three daughters, Mary Jo Metzler and her husband Joe of Alexandria. Va., Sallie Kloewer and her husband Jim of Keosauqua, and Barbara Shafer and her husband Robert of Dubuque; 15 grandchildren; and a sister, Ruth Ryan of Olean, N.Y.

      He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Vern; and two sisters, Gloria Brinck and Virginia Paschal.
