Agnes Ellen Berg

      RIVERSIDE - Agnes Ellen Berg, 79, of Riverside, died Saturday, May 14, 2005, at Lone Tree Care Center, following a brief illness.

      A Mass of the Resurrection will begin at 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 17, 2005 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Riverside, with the Rev. Rich Adams officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. After the committal service at the cemetery, there will be a time of food and fellowship at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Visitation is this evening at Sorden-Lewis Funeral Home in Riverside, from 4 to 7 p.m., with a 7 p.m. prayer service. Memorials may be directed to Lone Tree Care Center or Amenity Hospice of Cedar Rapids.

      Mrs. Berg was born on April 1, 1926, in Sigourney, to Addison and Helen (Vittitoe) Stephenson. She married Cletus John Berg on Dec. 4, 1944, in Clear Creek. The couple had one daughter, Dyann, before Cletus was killed in Germany during World War II. She married Ivo Berg on April 27, 1946, in Clear Creek
