Agnes V. Woodburn Steele May 5, 1922 - April 3, 2004

Agnes Viola Woodburn Steele, 81, of Lockridge, died at her home at 4:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 3, 2004.

      The graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 6, at the Packwood Cemetery in Packwood, with the Rev. David Franker officiating. The family will receive friends at the Packwood Community Center following the graveside service. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. today at the Behner Funeral Home in Fairfield. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the Lockridge First Responders.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Gary and his wife Donna Steele of Goldfield, Jerry and his wife Mary Steele of Lockridge, and Terry and his wife Kay Steele of Fairfield; a daughter, Judy Mote of Mt. Pleasant; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Margaret Bandilla of Carmichael, Calif., and Mabel Leedom of Ankeny.

      She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Rex Steele; two sisters, Ivas Schmitter and Rose Dailey; and two brothers, Robert and Sterling Woodburn.
